Convict

Effective period / Period of releases: 1985

Members: Conrad Taylor, Gord Kirchin

Convict is a heavy metal "band" from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, that was "formed" in 1985. Indeed, Convict was never a band, it was actually another metalploitation band made in the studio by Zoran Busic, the manager of the record company Cobra (2). According to Gord Kirchin the "band" actually consisted of two "members": himself, who took over the vocal duties and Conrad Taylor who played all instruments and got writing credits for all songs. The members mentioned on the release are all fake.

The record company Cobra put out more "bands" and releases this way. Three other projects of that kind were Piledriver (2), for which Gord Kirchin sang too, Exorcist (4) and Original Sin (7).
