Members: Paul Thé, Eric Gerritsen, Peter Engel (2), Eugene Tymstra

Dutch band from Amsterdam which released a number of singles between 1969 and 1974, one of which reached the Dutch Top 40 in 1970 ("Dancing and drinking").

The band was formed in 1969 but most members had gained some experience in earlier bands. By 1969, Plastic People's line up was:

- Peter Engel (guitar)
- Eugène Tijmstra (bass)
- Gerry Suring (drums)
- Frans Gigengack (sax)
- Wijnand Kors (lead vocal, guitar)
- Han Kruyswijk (keyboards, guitar)

From 1970 to 1972 the band consisted of:
- Eric Gerritsen (guitar)
- Eugène Tijmstra
- Peter Engel
- Wijnand Kors
- Han Kruyswijk
- Bert Ridderhof (drums)
- Paul Thé (guitar, vocals)

The band split in 1974, but has reformed several times since. Peter Engel died 30 December 2013.
