Real name: Demerick Shelton Ferm

Young De started his musical journey out of Philadelphia, PA with his group Tangled Thoughts, but after meeting up with Kurupt, he was determined to move to Los Angeles, CA, where De continued to record new music and develop himself as a solo artist. Adding up to these changes and the new start of his musical career, he later announced the change of his artist name to Demrick, phasing out "Young De" completely, which would be the sole recording artist name for all his future releases.
