Formed in July of 2021, Norfair is a 4 piece Skramz/Screamo band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Taking inspiration from bands such as Jeromes Dream, The Spirit Versailles, and MSSDTA, their soft, very emotional sound can be quickly replaced by fast-paced instrumentals and high-pitched screaming at any given moment. This band has a legendary legacy to carry on, with the likes of Orchid and iwrotehaikusaboutcannabilisminyouryearbook being amazing predecessors and pioneers to modern skramz, Norfair carries the torch amazingly and seemingly effortlessly. Initially starting 2022 with a light hearted, emotional tone (Carter Has a Baggie Full of Drugs, Untitled), their Debut EP, Self Titled, has taken a much darker turn in terms of tone and sound, more reminiscent of hardcore and emoviolence.
