A member of the Magictones and The Undisputed Truth. Born in Detroit, Barkley (also knows as “Lil Ty” .. would get his start with the Magic Tones in 1965 .. and sang on their many hit songs over the years, including “Great Day”, “I’ll Make It Up to You” and others, until he hooked up with The Undisputed Truth in 1973. Staying with the group, and appearing on their hit song “Help Yourself” .. he would leave The Undisputed Truth two years later to begin a solo career. Cutting a couple of singles for Midsong Records, including “Man of Value” .. Tyrone Barkley passed away February 13th, 2017.
