American Country and Rock singer from Sylvania, a Toledo, Ohio suburb. Born November 30, 1949 she passed away on January 145h 1995 following complications from lung cancer and a brain tumour.In 1969, she joined Ruby Jones, joining Black Oak Arkansas in 1973. She changed her name to Ruby Star in 1974 when she went solo. In the late 70s she moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where she became a popular club act. In the 90s, she performed at clubs on The Strip and various hotels in Las Vegas, returning to Toledo due to her illness.
