Snape was a pick-up band formed, during a USA tour of bands, into a working relationship out of circumstance. The artists Alexis Korner and Peter Thorup got together with members of Humble Pie & King Crimson
The outcome was an album Alexis Korner, Snape - The Accidental Band. Thus the band is also known as "The Accidental Band".
The line-up of Snape included Boz Burrell, Ian Wallace & Mel Collins. Subsequent artists included; Tim Hinkley & Gaspar Lawal
