Dāryūš Ṭalāī (طلاي داريوش, 1953) is an Iranian tar and setar player.Talai studied Persian music with tar player علیاکبر شهنازی (Ali Akbar Shahnazi), Nur Ali Borumand, with whom he studied radif and classical composition, as well as Youssef Forutan and Abdollah Davami, with whom he studied setar and vocal techniques and repertories.
Talai taught at the University of Tehran, Université de la Sorbonne in Paris, University of Washington in Seattle, and was awarded a number of major prizes for his contribution to Persian music. His collaborated with numerous artists and musicians such as Maurice Béjart, Carolyn Carlson or Michel Portal.
