Very popular flamenco pop icon. She won the American Critics Association Award of New York in 1964. In 1970, she represented Spain in the X International Festival of Split (Split 70 - X Internacionalni Festival Zabavne Muzike) with Tú no me la das, there she won the Critics Association Award of Split. In the same year she represented Andorre in the V Festival Internacional da Canção in Rio with Como un pájaro (Como ave), where she won the Critics Association Award of Rio. She is the winner of the 1972 Montjuich Song Contest with the song El Berebito.
