The Olympic Sideburns were formed in 1982 by Jex Byron, David "George" Spencer and Spencer Jones. However, their final line up was not settled until mid 1985. Spencer Jones departed for The Johnnys leaving two original members with the job of recruitment, resulting in a number of line up changes before the firm five piece outfit was born.
