Country singer-songwriter born November 9, 1925 in Chapman, Alabama. Died 22 October 1993.His first release, "The Death Of Hank Williams" reportedly sold over a half-million copies in 1953. From 1951-1967, he hosted "The Friendly Variety Show" televised locally in Mobile, Alabama. He was also the founder of the Mobile Country Music Association.
