Dayv Butler and The Delmars , circa 1965, Fayetteville, NC, recorded a couple of nice 45s for JCP label, Raleigh, before evolving into The News and reaching their psychedelic peak with tunes like “The Boy Who Only Smiles” and “Blue Shoes” for MU (Music Unlimited) in ‘67 and '68.
