French flautist and saxophonist.
Denis Barbier, who studied music in Paris, is a prize winning composer, orchestrator, and flute performer. Considered to be one of the best jazz flutists of his generation, he is co-founder of the jazz-rock band Chute Libre. His recordings and performances are numerous, along with his directing master classes of jazz improvisation in music schools. He is also a well-known performer with over 100 original TV documentaries and numerous movies to his credit. In addition, he is experienced in directing internships in film music composition and in teaching classical flute in conservatories. His solo performances have been in many venues including Paris, the whole of Europe, Japan, and several USA’s major cities.
