Scottish jazz baritone saxophonist, born 2 October 1933 in Calcutta, India, died 12 December 1991 in London, England, UK.
Played with: Don Rendell, Ted Heath, Marshall Brown, Woody Herman, Allan Ganley, Bill Le Sage, and others plus recorded the sax solo for Lou Reed on ‘Walk On The Wild Side’. Notable for being the saxophone tutor for a young David Bowie.
