Biography

Andrea Biondi
Italian vibraphonist, pianist and percussionist, born in Rome
Studied percussion with Horacio Hernandez.
He pursued a classical education in percussion instruments, graduating with honours and special mention at the Conservatory of Music “A. Casella” in l’Aquila. He has attended two seminars on interpretation in contemporary music at the “Cantiere Internazionale d’Arte di Montepulciano”, two seminars on interpretation and improvisation for vibraphone and marimba with David Friedman, and an improvisation seminar with Danilo Rea, Maurizio Giammarco and Mike Manieri. He has studied vibraphone and improvisation with Andrea Dulbecco and David Friedman, piano and harmony with Massimo Fedeli, and music arrangement with Marco Tiso.
