Born in Glasgow, She was reared in Belmullet, Co. Mayo. Recording with the Assaroe Ceili Band, including a number of original songs, by the bands leader Cyril Curran .Among them "Irelands' 32", "Little Orphan Girl", "Bill Reilly" and "The Good Old Days" which was a hit song.
