Paquito López Vidal
Real name: Francisco Rafael López Vidal
Francisco Rafael López Vidal, better known as Paquito López Vidal (1908 - 1994), a great Puerto Rican musician who saw the first light in Caguas, on February 1, 1908, but was almost born and was transferred to Cayey. He began to train as a musician when he counted eight, under the tutelage of Professor Clodomiro Rodríguez Colón -insigne author of the one-step, imperishable Alma Boricua-, being the first instrument mandolin. Although the transcendence of Espérame En El Cielo", así como Pétalos De Rosa and Mi Loca Tentación are undeniable, since the barriers of time have been overcome and they are still recorded frequently; others of the nearly 200 that make up his beautiful collection of melodies, had a very special place reserved in his heart: Antes De Que Te Alejes, Estrella, Fue Por Tu Pecado, Horas Del Ayer, Lágrimas Del Corazón, No Me mires Así, No Te Alejes De Mí, Pecado Es Amarte, Toda Una Eternidad and danzón Lena.
