Real name: Elsie Bierbower

American vaudeville artist (b. Columbus, Ohio 16 March, 1889 - d., Hollywood 27 Feb., 1956).

Stage debut in local stage production 1897 - New York vaudeville debut 1900 then toured U.S. for 3 years - Successful Broadway appearance in "The Vanderbilt Cup" 1906 - Huge success at London debut in "The Passing Show" 1914 then back to U.S., but returned to London to appear in "The Passing Show of 1915" after which many appearances in U.S. and UK until 1928.
