George Gerdes (born 23 February 1948 in New York, New York, USA – died 1 January 2021) was a American singer, songwriter and actor. He began to play the guitar at the age of 7, at 12 he composed his first songs, and when he was 19 he founded a group called "The Alumicron Fab Tabs" together with Loudon Wainwright III. Besides music, Gerdes was also interested in films, so he started a second career as an actor. He died in a Glendale, California hospital on 1 January 2021, after suffering a brain aneurysm.
