American gospel quartet formed in June 1947 in Macon, Georgia. Also known as Southwind Quartette, South Wind Quartet, Southwind Singers, South Wind Singers and possibly other variations. They had their own radio program on WNEX Macon by August 1947 that ran on that station until January 1950, then moved elsewhere on the dial.

Toured and recorded with Sister Rosetta Tharpe from 1947 to 1955. On January 4, 1953, they performed at Hank Williams' funeral, possibly the only black quartet to perform at a prominent white funeral in Alabama prior to the civil rights era.

Members of the group include Abner Jay, Benjamin Carter, James Foster, James Williams, Ernest Wallace (also known as Black Angel), and Joe Brown.
