Mats and Beppe met back in 1984. Shortly after that they started a synthpopband, bought a couple of synthezisers and drummashines (Juno-60, SH-101, TR-606, DR-220E, TR-505, TR-909, MS-20, Akai AX-60, Siel DK-80, JP-4, Six Trak). With sveral bandnames like 'Never Mind' or 'Electronic Story' finally the name 'Candide' were settled. The singer, Magnus came along in 1985.

1986 - played live at Proppens party and Kungskögsskolan, Ljungby
1986 - Candide went to Chickenhouse Studio, recorded 3 songs
1987 - "In the beginning " were released
1987 - played live at Buffalo, Ljungby
1987 - played live at Bergaskolan, Eslöv
1988 - released "Live & studio "
2004 - did a reunion-gig at a private party
2006 - re-record "Wanna dance", the new titel: "Lady"
2009 - "Never mind the electronic story [CD-r]" were releades
2010 - contribute with one track on "Tiden går - En hyllning till Page [CD]"
