Argentinian tango singer, lyricist, poet, playwright. (18 Nov.1888 - 29 May 1932) He was the author of some forty tango lyrics, among which La Cumparsita, Bandoneón Arrabalero, Caferata, Ivette and Ventanita De Arabal stand out, many of which were recorded by Carlos Gardel. The best known of the lyrics he composed is Mi Noche Triste about the tango music Lita by Samuel Castriota, which, when included in the sainete Los Dientes Del Perro, launched its name to the public's knowledge and inaugurated a new stage of the genre characterized by the so-called tango song
