Rute Marlene Pereira Alves (Barreiro, Portugal, March 19, 1978) known artistically as Ruth Marlene, is a Portuguese singer of light music and a star in the popular music scene. The first time she performed was playing the piano, Ruth and his brother Ivo were inseparable until their first show: at the age of eight she started giving shows with him. From the age of 10, always accompanied by her brother, already awake to music and who helped her make her first steps moments of firmness and confidence, performed at Lavradio parties, presented to the public always fun and with prominence and originality, as well as they also did on local radio. At the same time they participate in the local radio contest (Baixa da Banheira), Ivo played and Ruth sang and thus won 1st place.
