Carla Alexandra Pereira de Sousa was born in Lisbon, Portugal on July 23rd 1981. Since she was a child she wanted to be a singer, inspired by aunt Ágata, who gave her the artistic name Romana and helped to find her own style. At the age of 8, she took the stage for the first time and with only 10 years received her first cachet. At 15 signed her first contract with Espacial and became a famous Portuguese singer.
