Danish rock band fronted by vocalist Frede Norbrink. Founded 1979 to success Norbrink, Jan Ettrup and Jesper Agerschous previous band Albuen, the line-up on the debut album involved several musicians from the Gasolin' and Kim Larsen environment, e.g. Wili Jønsson, Thomas Grue and Bjørn Uglebjerg. By the 2nd album in 1982 Grue had been replaced by Steen Svare and Klaus Agerschou was new on keyboards. By the 3rd album in 1983 Svare and Uglebjerg had left and Jens Breum took over on drums. From 1985 and on Frede Norbrink goes solo, but the band tours 1987 to 1989 and does not officially disband until 1993. In 2001 a new Frede Fup was with Norbrink (vocals), Peter Domtorp (guitar), Trond Clements (saxophone, keyboards), Flemming Muus (bass) and Hans Fagt (drums).That line-up released an album in 2001. Concurrently, their record company Scandinavian Records went bankrupt and only half the copies reached the shops. In 2022 the band consisted of Frede Norbrink (vocals), Jesper Agerschou (keyboards), Flemming Muus (bass), Lars Mitch Fischermann (drums) and Birgitte Bjørn (guitar).Also see Frede Fup
