Religious choir director from New Mexico, affiliated with First Baptist Church, Garland, Texas.

Before coming to the church in January of 1977, Mr. Blakley had served several Texas churches as Minister of Music and for two years he served on the music faculty of East Texas Baptist College and directed the A Cappella Choir. He is a native of New Mexico where he earned the Bachelor of Music Education degree from Eastern New Mexico University. He holds the Master of Church Music Degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, Fort Worth, Texas.
In addition to serving as adjucator and clinician for choral workshops and festivals, he is a composer-arranger with a large number of published works listed in the catalogs of twenty-three publishers.
