Lee Curtis & the Allstars,Liverpool, UK band in the early Sixties. Lee Curtis was born as Peter Flannery. His band was joined in September 1962 by ex-Beatles drummer Pete Best. With Frank Bowen (lead guitar), Tony Waddington (rhythm guitar) and Wayne Bickerton (bass) they became the second most popular band in the 1963 Mersey Beat readers poll. However, they didn't quite meet commercial demands, and so Lee Curtis was signed as a solo artist by Decca Records in 1963.
When Curtis went solo, the All-Stars became The All
