Peruvian singer, Cecilia Barraza is one of the foundations of the current folk music. born Nov. 5, 1952 in Lima.

Its artistic trajectory begins in the month of April of the year 1971, after its participation in the television program Trampoline to the Fama, where it obtains the triumph like the best interpreter. In that contest she interprets a subject of Alicia Maguiña: Everything speaks to me of you. It is on this occasion that Chabuca Granda hears and is dazzled by her sweet voice and proposes to take her to Mexico for an artistic tour in different stages of that country along with the group Peru Negro.
Cecilia accepts and in this way begins her vertiginous ascent to one of the great figures of the Peruvian music.
