He was the leader of Corvina founded in 1970, after a talent show in 1968. After the disbanding of the formation he has started his solo career in 1979. His first two albums were released in Slovakia, sung in English in 1980 and 1981. In 1981 he nominated the Hungarian Television Song Contest, his song won the second place. At the end of the 80s he founded 3 journals and founded his own publishing company.
