Real name: Michael Lewis Jones

Mike Jones was the 'non-playing' lyricist for Latin Quarter providing some occasional backing vocals. He changed careers to undertake a Ph.D. at the Institute of Popular Music at the University of Liverpool, in which he analyzed the very high failure rate among acts signed to major record companies.

Dr. Mike Jones is currently Director, MA Music Industry Studies. Mike’s primary research interests are centered on the music industries. His research focus is concerned with understanding the nature of musician-business interactions.
