Cololo was born in 1960 in Roche Bois near the town of Port Louis in Mauritius. He grew up in the company of Kaya's family, his closest neighbor. After a six-year stay in Scotland, he obtains British citizenship. A musician and sailor in the merchant navy, he also stayed in Diego Garcia and has lived in Reunion for several years where he is very popular. He has more than ten albums to his credit.
