Is an Italian motorcycle racer, born 26 June, 1954 in Ceparana (La Spezia), retired from racing, Debut in 1973 riding an Aermacchi second hand. Two Italian titles. In 1981 world champion with 5 wins in the premier class 500cc.. Special guest at the Sanremo Festival 1982 with Stella Fortuna (Lucky Star) written by Riccardo Borghetti and arranged by Maurizio Bassi. As manager wins the World Superbike Championship in 1990 with Raymond Roche. Since 2007 he's regular guest of the sport program Fuori Giri on Italia 1 TV, in wave after MotoGP races.
