Danish underground band active around 2002/03-2007/08. Originally named Vildnis, but forced to change it to avoid confusion with Vildnis, they briefly took the name [bortset] before settling on The Modesty. Their music was a blend of alternative rock, noise pop, post-punk and shoegazer. In 2004 they came second in the Danish amateur music competition Live Contest DK - between winners Alphabeat (3) (At the time named Sodastar) and third-placers Volbeat.
