Disco Circus

Effective period / Period of releases: 1978 - 1985

Disco Circus was a studio project by producer and Lollipop Records label president Jürgen S. Korduletsch. Working in Munich and inspired by Giorgio Moroder's Munich Machine, Korduletsch brought together many of the same musicians, including English drummer Keith Forsey, Swedish guitarist Mats Björklund, Icelandic keyboardist Thor Baldursson, Hungarian pianist Sylvester Levay, English bassists Dave King & Gary Unwin, vocalists Roberta Kelly & Claudia Schwarz, and a few others. Their debut album "Disco Circus" was released in 1978, and the single "Over And Over" (with lead vocals by Keith Forsey) became a sensational dance club hit, reaching #24 on the US Billboard Hot Dance Music/Club Play chart in 1979. A second album "Plastic Paradise" followed in 1980.

Often confused with French rock-pop band, Martin Circus (Martin "Disco" Circus) though the two are not related.
