Newspaper man, radio announcer, and "citybilly" singer and guitarist from Atlanta, Georgia. Graduated from Emory University in 1920, after founding the Emory Wheel newspaper. Columnist and editor for the Atlanta Journal from 1920s until 1962. Appeared on radio station WSB. Recorded for Columbia in 1925 and Victor in 1927 and 1928. Born 27 October 1897 in Atlanta, Georgia; died on 9 October 1967 in Atlanta, Georgia.
