Brazilian rock band formed in the State of Rio Grande do Sul in 1967, under the strong influence of The Beatles. With its original members Foguete (vocals), Pecos Pássaro (guitar), Mimi Lessa (guitar), Renato Ladeira (keyboards), Marcos Lessa (bass) and Edson Espíndola (drums), the band was called Liverpool Sounds, then changed for Liverpool, and, in the early 70s, Bixo da Seda. Moving to Rio de Janeiro, and under the influence of Yes and Pink Floyd, they signed with the Polydor label in 1971, releasing a single with the radio hit "Hei, Menina." In 1976, came the first album, "Bixo da Seda", and they also became the backing band for the disco vocal group Frenéticas.
