Real name: Ari dos Santos

Ari dos Santos was a Brazilian musician and composer better known as Ari do Pistão, whose unique work, the choro "Na Glória", did not give him the fame he deserved (in the stamp of the original recording, in late 1949, only the name of his partner Raul de Barros). He had a humble career but that included excursions abroad with Ari Barroso's Brazilian Rhythms Orchestra in the 50's. Ari died on March 1, 1971, at the age of 59, of cancer, in São Paulo.
