Dillon Ober
American Jazz drummer, bell-swinger, vibraphonist, & percussionist circa 1920s.
Born April 8, 1904 in West Virginia, USA.
Died June 21, 1948 at the age of 44 in Miami, Florida, USA.
He was one of the original members of Jim Shields' "Mason-Dixon Seven" Orchestra which started at West Virginia University. From there he moved on to New York City, where he spent nine years with Ben Bernie's Orchestra. He then went to Los Angeles where he was associated with the Fox Film Corporation for fourteen years. He spent his last eight years with the 20th Century Fox studio recording orchestra.
