Larry Cotton
Real name: Maurice Lafayette Cotton, Jr.
Big band tenor vocalist and songwriter in the 1930s and 1940s. Owner of Oroco Records. Born July 14, 1911 in Stigler, Oklahoma – died January 12, 1977 in Hollywood, California.In the late 1930s Cotton joined Horace Heidt And His Musical Knights, appearing with them on Heidt’s US radio show "Pot O’ Gold" (1938-41), one of radio’s first ‘giveaway’ shows, and in the film version in 1941.
