Man meets Bear is a Canadian lake scientist and post folk artist. Man meets Bear began releasing music in 2001, using the name of a totem pole outside Vancouver, British Columbia. The totem pole depicts an image of a man climbing up a tree, facing a bear climbing down the tree. In one hand, the man holds a musical shaker, in the other, a dagger.
