The Purple Underground
Members: Jon LaFrandre, Tom Nay, Jim Carlton (3), Halsey LaFrandre
Garage/psych band from Winter Haven, Florida, U.S.Previously known as The Spades (3).
They changed their name in early 1967 and continued playing for a couple of years.
Jim Carlton left the group for college soon after the recording session in March 1967 and Purple Underground became a trio.
