Singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and illustrator in Austin, Texas. He attended Belmont Universiry in Tennessee with future The Black And White Years members before moving to Austin, where he played with alt-folk band The Trees. Butler co-founded the indie rock band The Black And White Years in 2006 when the drummer of The Trees left Austin and the remaining members started a new band together.
