Dr. Aftershave And The Mixed Pickles came about due to Missus Beastly being under contract with Telefunken who would not release their new album. To get around that they chose a new name and called the LP "For Missus Beastly".
After Missus Beastly split, some members formed a new group under the name Dr. Aftershave in 1980, with the line-up: Norbert Dömling (bass), Burkard Schmidl (keyboards) and Marlon Klein (drums). They split up in 1982 with no known releases.
