American composer (born February 27, 1901 in Richmond, VA – died June 3, 1955 in Norfolk, VA).

Composer of the 1926 hit "How Could Red Riding Hood? (Have Been So Very Good And Still Keep The Wolf From The Door)." Later became a Captain in the U.S. Navy.
