P.M. Dawn was founded in 1988 in Jersey City, New Jersey (USA) by the two brothers Attrell S. Cordes (a.k.a. Prince Be) and Jarrett Cordes (a.k.a. DJ Minute Mix). In 2005, Attrell suffered a stroke that left him paralyzed. Their cousin Gregory Carr (a.k.a. Dr. Giggles or Doc G) was added to the lineup for their comeback that year, and Jarrett was fired from the band right after. Attrell Cordes was unable to continue with the band due to continued health problems, and he died in 2016. The band continued with just Doc G, and added K-R.O.K. The Producer to the lineup in 2018.
