Vic Higgins

Long-running drummer, first starting as a saxophonist with Johannesburg rock 'n roll bands.

Switching to drums, he's also played with a number of well-known artists of the time and a stint in Europe as the drummer for Ian Carr's Nucleus in the sixties. Returning to Cape Town, he played with seventies heroes Pacific Express before moving back to Yeoville, Johannesburg in the eighties. Back in Cape Town, the nineties saw him co-founding The Blues Jobs (together with stalwart James Kibby) which morphed into another group called Acid Blues.
