American songwriter and producer from Nashville, Tennessee, responsible for co-writing the #1 country hit Reba McEntire - You Lie as well as Blackhawk - Goodbye Says It All. Fischer had given up a 17-year-long career with International Harvester's Farmall plant in Rock Island, Illinois, to pursue his songwriting career. He was the great-uncle of Margo Price.
