Frisian hardcore band from The Netherlands . Formed March 1987 with girl singer Monique, Jan Switters a.k.a. Aaszoo (guitar, vocals), Peter Walon a.k.a. Skunk (drums, vocals), Bert-Jan Zuidema a.k.a. Bertje (bass, vocals, samples).
Monique left the band way to soon but the guys pulled through, dedicating the first album to Monique. Aaszoo left in 1992 when live-cd XLR8 was launched. Bad timimng. Henry Alles saved the 1992 Germany-Poland Tour. Bas Rijksen picked up from there.
Throughout the 1990s the band performed mostly around Fryslân, but since 2001 it has gone silent around the band. They never officially quit, but were operating under different names (The Southgang, De Familie Zuidema, and De Fantasties).
