Mandelene Wilson Hardy
Daughter of Mattie Moultrie Wilson. Mandelene started singing lead first and second soprano with her mother and father’s group The Original Gospel Halos.
At an early age she started acting and singing in plays and movies on and off Broadway.
She sang lead vocals with the choir The Laborers in The Vineyard All Community Choir on the soundtrack of “A Brother From Another Planet” starring actor Joe Morton directed by John Sayles. The song appears during the closing credits. Mandelene appeared in “Malcom X” movie produced and directed by Spike Lee.
She co-starred in her first play “The Devil Used By Children” later renamed “ A Mother Cried For Her Children” written and directed by her mother Mattie Moultrie Wilson.
She is a member of Victory Outreach Ministry and the director of Grace Senior Choir of Newark, New Jersey.
