Víctor Ruiz Pazos. Musician (bass player, singer). He was born in the port of Veracruz. Cousin of Mario Ruiz Armengol. He left the accounting career for music and played and sang from very young tropical music. At the beginning of the fifties he arrived in Mexico City where he played in different dance orchestras. He participated in the Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Sergiu Celibidache. Shortly after, with the orchestra of Luis Arcaraz, he will have his first contacts with jazz, a genre in which he consolidated, with his electric bass, as one of the most outstanding figures in Mexico.
